Join Molly Casto and Sarah Jones for 75 minutes of restorative yoga and live soundbath in District Loom's beautiful showroom. Afterward, you're invited to browse the latest GGAI gear and connect over a warm cup of tea.
Sound healing and restorative yoga are effective practices to ground and reset our bodies and minds. The combination of these practices leads to a state of receptivity in which all levels of the body and mind are encouraged to rest, restore, and reset.
Details:
Sarah will lead a series of gentle yoga postures that are fully supported and held for 3-5 minutes each. During the class, Molly will weave in healing sound vibrations including percussion, crystal sound bowls, and chimes to create a meditative state and help calm the central nervous system. All that's needed is an open mind and a few suggested relaxation-boosting items (optional and listed below). Our intention is for participants to have an experience for the senses and step away feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated.
What to wear and bring:
Cozy clothes & socks
Yoga mat (we’ll have extras)
Blanket / small pillow(s) / yoga blocks - the goal is to feel fully supported in each pose

Sound baths have an amazing ability to assist the physical, mental, and emotional bodies in releasing pain, anxiety, fear, trauma, and other low vibratory emotions and feelings. At the same time, sound healing creates an open and loving space for new energies, patterns and behaviors to emerge. Reiki invites Universal healing energy to the parts and pieces of our physical, mental and emotional bodies that need healing the most. The combination of these two practices leads to a state of receptivity in which all levels of the body can begin to open and heal - an experience like no other.
We'll begin with a brief introduction of our practitioners followed by an explanation of the benefits of sound and reiki. 75 minutes of sound will follow. Each participant will lie in the most relaxing position available for the duration of the sound bath and receive 9 minutes of reiki, 1 at a time.
